Nomi Nightlight is the healthy-caution and worry-management member of the Glowpatch Core Eight.
Overview
Nomi Nightlight can imagine eleven ways a picnic in the Glowpatch may fail before Pip Prismtail opens the basket. Nomi marks all eleven on the tiny safety checklist. One is useful: the loose strap. The lantern belly brightens while Pip ties it.
Ten worries remain. Nomi closes the checklist with ten empty boxes. Then Nomi checks the window twice. Pip waits beside the basket. Friends know the second click means Nomi is almost ready to play.
Nomi names one safe adult, takes one calm breath, and picks one next action small enough for a hand. A blank line waits at the bottom of the checklist. Nomi can fill it with a twelfth worry, or take Pip's offered paw and go.
