CyberDeck Privacy Notice

CyberDeck collects limited gameplay data to help us improve balance and reliability. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: August 10, 2026

What we collect

  • Gameplay events: run progress and result, chosen operator, stage, enemies, combat totals, deck choices, card reward options, event choices, Chrome rewards, shop visits, Safe House choices, selected options, and skipped rewards.
  • Game details: game version, build, release channel, platform, time, and whether the record came from a test build.
  • Player identifier: a persistent identifier that lets us group records from the same player. On Steam, this is associated with the player's Steam account so we can show one player's history, prevent impersonation, and process access or deletion requests.
  • Reliability and security data: limited crash information and basic network information needed to deliver records and protect the service from abuse.

Gameplay data can be sent when a run starts, after combat, after a card reward choice or skip, after an event, Chrome reward, shop visit, or Safe House choice, when a run ends, and after a rare crash. We do not record a replay of every action.

Why we collect it

  • Measure how many people play and how far they progress.
  • Balance operators, cards, enemies, encounters, and stages.
  • Understand card choices, including when players skip all offered cards.
  • Understand event, Chrome reward, shop, and Safe House choices.
  • Find crashes and other reliability problems.
  • Protect player records from impersonation and abuse.

How long we keep it

We keep detailed gameplay records for up to 90 days. We keep Steam account verification data used for security and support for up to 14 days. We can keep aggregated statistics for longer when they no longer identify or reasonably relate to an individual player.

Who we share data with

Access is limited to the CyberSprawl team and service providers that help us operate, secure, and support the game. We can also disclose data when the law requires it or when needed to protect players, our rights, or the service.

We do not sell gameplay data. We do not share it for targeted advertising.

Your choices

Turn telemetry off

Open CyberDeck Settings and set Gameplay Telemetry to Off. The game stops creating new gameplay records and clears queued records. Turning it off does not disable gameplay, progression, or saves.

Ask for access or deletion

Contact us through the official CyberSprawl Discord to start a private request. Do not post an account or game identifier in a public channel. We can ask for an identifier so we can find the correct records. You can request a copy or deletion of the personal data we still hold, subject to applicable law.

What gameplay telemetry does not collect

  • Names, email addresses, chat, voice, screenshots, or message contents.
  • Payment details.
  • Advertising identifiers, browsing history, or contacts.
  • Exact mouse movement, controller input, or a full combat replay.

Security

We limit access to player data and use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
